RICOH Ri 3000/Ri 6000 End of Life Notification - Ricoh DTG

Dear Valued Customer,

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that Ricoh Printing Systems America, Inc. (“RPSA”) will retire the RICOH Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 direct-to-garment printers on August 1, 2020.

The decision to retire the Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 printers is part of RPSA’s mission to serve as a strategic partner to our customers by continually providing the most cutting-edge DTG technology in the industry. One of the ways we are delivering on this promise is to shift our resources and efforts to focus fully on the continued development of the industry-leading Ricoh DTG platform on which the next-generation RICOH Ri 1000 is built.

What does this mean for you and your company?

• Production and availability of ink, supplies, and replacement parts from RPSA will continue for the next two (2) years and will end on August 1, 2022, or until supplies last.
• Free Technical Support, provided over the phone, will continue for the next 12 months and will end on August 1, 2021.
• RPSA will no longer be providing on-site and factory repairs for Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 printers. Service will continue to be available from third-party service providers.
• Current extended warranties will be honored up until their end date, but new extended warranties are no longer available for purchase.
• The current versions of AnaRIP, Kothari, and Spark will continue to work normally with Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 printers. The compatibility of future software updates with Ri 3000/Ri 6000 printers is not guaranteed.

We regret any issues that may arise for our customers by announcing this product’s end of life and, as stated above, are committed to providing continued free Technical Support via phone and email over the next 12 months.
