AnaRIP Revision History

V3.8.0 to V3.8.3
Fixed the black screen "segmentation fault" bug that occasionally occurred when sending print jobs from a computer to the printer.
Fixed a job timeout bug that occurred when obstruction sensor is tripped during job transfer.

V3.7.0 to V3.8.0
Added encoder strip check on printer power up and carriage re-homing
Added auto job timeout to prevent transmission issues from locking up printer. During a print job transmission, if more than 10 seconds go by and the printer has not received any new print data, the job will be canceled
Improved ink usage estimation for printers with new maintenance station
Power and head voltages are now logged before each print
Fix bug where nozzle check looking patterns are printed at the end of a print.
Fixed bug where incoming job containing same job name as currently printing job would lock printer up
Fixed bug where maintenance station may engage while the carriage is not fully over home position

V3.0.2 to V3.7.0

Network connection support - The printer can now receive print jobs (sent from AnaRIP 3.0 and higher) over the Ethernet connection.
Delayed maintenance station capping - After a print, the maintenance station will now wait a set amount of time (default 2 minutes) before capping. If another print job is started before the station is capped, the printer will immediately start that print job skipping the overhead time associated with uncapping the station. Furthermore, the print heads will only be wiped after a set amount of consecutive prints (default 5) instead of before each print. On average, this can save over 15 seconds per print.
New Job Available alert - During a print, if a new print job arrives to the printer, an on-screen message will appear alerting you of the new job.
Auto Advance - If a new print job arrives during a print, the printer will automatically switch to the new job when you are done printing all the copies of the current job.
Job Preview Scrolling - You can now scroll through print jobs located in the same directory from the job preview screen. Just select the print job's name and hit the left or right arrow button.
Automatic voltage checking - Before each print, the printer will check and make sure power supply and print head voltages are all in correct operating range. If not, a message will appear alerting the operator. In the case of print head voltages, attempts will be made to automatically correct any out-of-operating range issues. If the attempts fail, an alert stating so will appear.
Printer Log - The printer now logs all actions and events. The most recent events can be viewed on the printer control panel. The logs can also be exported to an SD card or USB drive.
Internal Storage Limit - There is now a user settable limit on how many jobs the printer will retain in its internal storage. The number can be set from 1 to 20.
Printer Number - The printer can now be assigned a two digit number (from 00 to 99). This allows multiple printers (of the same model) to be uniquely identified when connected to one computer.
Added print lifetime and resettable "trip" counters.
	Added timezone selection option.
Added numerous troubleshooting diagnostic features. Sub items will not be mentioned on website
Consolidated all pre-print check options into a Pre-Print Checks submenu.
Consolidated all Update options into a Update submenu.
Removed option to turn off Wipe before print.
New Nozzle Check pattern (for MP10i only) - The new pattern will print a rectangle for each half of the print head instead of just one per print head.
Numerous stability improvements and bug fixes.

V2.6 to V3.0.1
AutoRIP - This new feature allows you to designate folder(s) on the computer as "hot folders." When a graphic file arrives in said folder(s), AnaRIP will automatically RIP that graphic with no user interaction required.
New ICC Profile, linearization curves, and halftoning for improved ink saturation and smoother gradients.
Ethernet connection and multiple printer support (requires mPower printers with firmware version 3.5.0 and above).
New Clear All completed button to quickly empty Completed Jobs queue.
New User settable Completed Jobs cap to limit maximum number of completed jobs stored.
AutoCroping - AnaRIP now automatically crops out transparencies above and below graphics during the ripping process. This eliminates the "transparency jog" that occurs when the printer processes said transparencies.
Improved underbase choking algorithm. Only edges between color and transparencies are choked now.
AnaRIP is now available (through a separate language pack installer) in English, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified).
Numerous stability improvements and bug fixes.

V2.5 to V2.6
Added option to turn off color profiles. This allows for graphics (CMYK graphics only) to print with no output profile applied. This is useful for creating custom profiles. This is also useful for printing pure channel colors.

V2.4.1 to V2.5
New Super Fine print mode for Color layer. At the cost of slower print speed, Super Fine mode reduces noticcability of banding when printing with less than optimal nozzle checks.
Slight increase in accuracy of cost estimation for ink usage.
Fixed bug where graphics at certain rescaled sizes would have a black outline appear in the print.

V2.4 to V2.4.1
Fixed bug where Fine Quality mode for color layer still put out too much ink.
Fixed inaccurate ink usage calculation for Underbase Fine Quality Mode.
Fixed on screen preview bug where for some graphics, in TrueView the color and white layer did not align properly.
Added "MP5" or "MP10" to Title bar.

V2.0 to V2.4
Fixed grainy appearance of prints (MP5 Only)
Reduced sensitivity of underbase choke. Each choke step now only reduces 1/4th as much of the underbase compared to the previous versions choke steps
New Pocket Platen sizes for easier printing with left and right pocket drop adapters
New ICC Profile for better color accuracy of prints
New ICC Preview feature for onscreen preview of what prints will really look like
Added Legacy color mode for printing with previous versions ICC profile if desired
New Fine Quality mode for color layer. It now outputs same amount of ink as Normal Quality mode
Renamed Quality Modes: Speed is now Draft and Normal is now Speed
Default color layer Quality Mode is now changed to Fine

V1.3 to V2.0
Fixed inaccurate ink usage calculation for Fine Mode printing.
Fixed/Reduced the Contrast slider (Under Color Adjustment Tab) to only the functional values.
Fixed bug where when the graphic is rotated and placed in lower half of print area, part of the graphic gets clipped off.
Renamed Dot Size options with Variable Dot Range options. (Actual function itself is not changed, just renamed to more accurately describe the function)
Changed Underbase Quality default to Fine
Added Print and Print to File options (and shortcut keys) to File menu. This allows the RIP to still be fully function when being used on monitors with low vertical resolution where the Print buttons get cut off.
Added Youth and Sleeve platen size options.
Added ability to independently control Bi-directional and Uni-directional between color and underbase layers.
Added option to print just Underbase layer.
Added Ink Cost Calculation of each ripped graphic. User must first input the cost of ink within the Preferences Tab. Total ink cost of print job is shown in the Completed Jobs section of the RIP Queue. Detailed Breakdown of ink usage is available by right clicking on the completed job and choosing Show ink costs.
Added new TrueView preview mode which accurately simulates what the print would look like taking into account the background color and white underbase used.
Added ability to show multiple previews at once. This includes any combination of Color, Underbase, and TrueView as well as all three at once.
Added ability to adjust the amount of white ink used in the underbase of any color channel. Sliders for adjustment are located in the Underbase tab.
Added ability to adjust amount of white ink used for non content based underbase. This adjustment also works on areas of 100% white in a content based underbase.

V1.2 to V1.3
	Fixed rotate and resize
Fixed image placed off of preview screen bug
Improved support for Foreign language Windows

V1.0 to V1.2
Added support for foreign characters in input filenames and paths.
Added file association to .ajd and .ajt files.
Fixed bug where some graphics when reduced in size may occasionally print a black line above it.
