What information do I need to provide when contacting technical support?

Technical support will need your printer serial number located on the back of the printer on the sticker. They will also need the printer firmware and model type. Press the <Jobs> button to be brought to the Jobs page to see this. Technical support may require you provide information such as last time maintenance was performed. Go to the diagnostics menu to Printer State/Check Sys Log/Check Printer Log/Printer Info and press <Enter> on Printer Info and record the information. Technical support may ask you for you for your Printer logs and/or your System Logs. To acquire this, you will need a USB Flash Drive to transfer files from the printer to your computer once acquired from the printer. The USB port is located on the right side of the main control panel. To download the Printer Log, go to Copy Printer Logs to front USB. To download the System Log go to the <Diagnostics> Menu then select the Printer Info tab and copy the Log files to a USB Drive.
