Major Firmware updates will need to be installed with an USB that has been formatted to FAT 32. This should be done prior to loading the firmware. Download the latest Firmware updates available at https://www.ricohdtg.com/downloads. Copy the files from .ZIP package to the USB drive. Once The firmware has been loaded on the USB, power off the printer and insert the USB into the USB slot on the right side of the control panel. Turn on the printer. Once on, a Flash NAND text will appear under the traditional RICOH Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 logo. An update will appear with a prompt to proceed with the update. The update will the install the firmware and verify the installation of the files. Once finished, update will the operator to remove the USB and restart the printer. Once the USB has been removed, turn on the printer. Be sure to confirm the printer model and firmware version number located under the About Printer menu is the same as the one downloaded from the Ricoh DTG website.
