Installing Ink Cartridges

The ink cartridge bay is located on the right-hand side of the printer. A new printer is shipped with 6 Power Bright Plus ink cartridges: 1 of each color: cyan, yellow, magenta, and black plus 2 white. Remove the cartridges from the box and protective bag and gently shake a few times before installing them into the ink bays. When all 6 cartridges are in the cartridge slots, select OK pressing <ENTER>.
It is very important that the correct color ink cartridge gets installed in the correct bay. If you install a cartridge in the wrong bay the Control Panel will indicate this with a Mismatch error on the Control Panel display, however, it can contaminate the ink delivery system.
