Washing Dark Garments

A properly printed dark garment can last dozens washes without noticeable fading if washed properly.

The key to a long-lasting print on dark garments is heat treatment. If you are experiencing repeated problems with the durability of dark garment prints, review your heat treating process. Ensure that you are pressing the garment at the correct temperature for the right amount of time for your fabric and confirm that your heat press is reaching the temperature that you are targeting.

A careful washing process can also affect the durability of an image, for the best results:

  1. Turn the shirt inside out.
  2. Wash in cold water.
  3. Dry on a delicate cycle.
